This challenge is for the students to build a car that is powered by a single mousetrap. They are not allowed to change the mosetrap in any way that would effect its energy storing or releasing capacity.
Part of the design process is that the students build models of their cars before building the working cars. These are full sized models with all the parts of the final but none working.
